To consult with a Decision or not?
My boyfriend and I decided to take the leap and go and see a professional regarding Healthy Eating (our diet). I think it’s a great idea to do this every couple years. As our bodies age so does the metabolic rate – it changes, it reacts differently to the foods we eat.
I’ve been dealing with a very stressful work life recently, and loving it. My health on the other hand doesn’t seem to like it that much. I’ve been eating right, drinking plenty of water and exercising but for some odd reason my body is not responding like it used to. I can’t see it being my age, as I am only 29. But I’ve been seeing patterns that I am not liking and I believe it has to do with my gut health. So, if you’re in the same boat as me, it’s okay I hope this is normal.
Healthy Eating
The reason why I am seeking professional help is because I want to know as accurate as possible my inner numbers, go on a custom meal plan that will help re-educate me and unlock my bodies secrete foods that make me feel and look good, to promote healthy looking skin and hair. When our gut is impacted it has a sever negative impact on us psychologically and physiologically. You know your body and how you usually feel in it. It’s home, but something is different and it’s after I had Covid that things changed. I doubt that covid is the reason for my gut health issue at the moment (if it is my gut).
Stress is a horrible thing and we need to maintain and control it. Work stress will always be there but when your health is implicated there is no shame in seeking professional help. Consistent stress will weaken the immune system and body. Hence, I want to take control of something that is in my control and that is attending to my body and taking better care of her with a professional’s guidance.
At the moment I feel fulfilled in my career, but for my physical health I feel stagnated and regressed. I am hoping changing my diet will assist with bettering my skin, my sleep and hair health.
I will be posting regular updates, what I will be eating and my overall journey. I am super curious to see if I am overeating or undereating. I’ve seen a lot of girls on YouTube that have been depriving their bodies from the correct macro count and it just blew my mind. What will the outcome be? We don’t know but I am super curious.
