Yoga for weight loss and confidence gain

I love yoga, not only for the mental benefits but for the physical. I have replaced yoga with my normal cardio routine and I must say I am loving it!

I feel more relaxed, in control of my body and I have more confidence!

Why? because yoga helped to take my cellulite away. Yes ladies you read right.

If you’ve been following the normal gym routine, then you will be able to do some of the basic moves of yoga, but ones balance and flexibility increases so does the fun! You workout without even realizing it, except if you’re in chair pose, then you know it’s a workout.

I love yoga for the consistent challenge.

It does not only empower me, it makes me feel and look young. Ladies, have you tried almost all the methods and fads to loose that stubborn fat.
Well, I have good news for you Yoga helped and is helping me lose that fat and stubborn cellulite and at the same time giving me confidence.

Here are my favourite tips that I learned through using Yoga everyday!

Wake up early to do Yoga! Yes first thing in the morning before I go to work I do Yoga. 3 out of the 5 working days I practice intense yoga that not only helps me with my flexibility but increases my strength. These include yoga push-ups, warrior poses and chair poses that strengthens and shapes your body into the ideal female figure.
Doing yoga in the morning on an empty stomach increases your metabolism and energy. strangely in the past I tried to doe cardio and strength training in the morning but my body just couldn’t cope with the stress I was putting on it, it made me tired. yoga is tough workout, however you relax while you do it, you get to work out and it doesn’t (mostly) feel like you working out while you do it. If you think yes that means i won’t feel sore! Think again! I am sore a lot, because of the poses.

On the other 2 working days I practice my milestones I want to master in yoga. Currently, I am practising the side splits (with the help of a yoga band and 2 yoga blocks)
The famous yoga headstand (just looks so damn cool, just a warning do these against a wall fist and if you feel confident in big spaces!) Trust me I have hurt myself.
My final yoga move I am practising is the dancer king? Why, cause I love me some challenges!

Okay now your diet (what you fuel your body with) is super important if you want to improve your yoga skills!
After your morning yoga (30 min) then you need to fuel your body with a protein based breakfast and green tea with lemon!
I usually have a high protein shake and green tea then I am good to go!

Great breakfast ideas are:
– scrambled egg whites with spinach
– rolled oats with peanut butter
– shake such as Herbalife
– low-gi brown bread/rye with egg and avo
– low-fat yogurt and nuts

Remember to drink plenty of water during the day, when we are hydrated out bodies feel more comfortable to stretch and build on the flexibility and strength.

I make plenty of healthy low-gi, high protein with carb based food at night so that i can pack the rest in for lunch.
After work I then do my regular workouts that is generally 30 min to 1 hour, time is important. After my workout I then immediately start with dinner.
I would advise you to decrease your red-meat intake it’s much healthier and much better for your yoga.
We eat majority chicken, fish with twice a week red-meat diet. It suites both myself and my boyfriends diet much better. It just makes you feel lighter and clearer.
If I can I manager to even do vegetarian dishes just for myself, my boyfriend would never. Your diet fuels your ongoing energy, and it shapes what your body looks and
feels like.

To summarize:
1. Do yoga in the morning on an empty stomach to increase your metabolism.
2. Eat a rich low-gi breakfast directly after working out.
3. Focus on breathing at work, when we take short fast breaths our bodies think we are under attack because our brains when it comes to stress remains primal.
4. Focus on moving more at work, when you take a bathroom break, so some quick stretches to calm the nerves.
5. Remember to hydrate during the day; drink water and green tea if you need extra energy.
